A Journal for Jordan: Significant characters and subplots are thrown in and out of context haphazardly — including, but not limited to, Dana’s family, Dana’s relatives, Dana’s career, Charles’ first child, Charles’ profession goals — and potentially returned to when there should be some external show as well. The film tries to strike a realistic balance between Charles’ sense of duty and his love for his soldiers, as well as his connection with Dana, but it’s seldom fully addressed.

Overall, it’s possible that it’ll be sent when even more dramatisation is wanted, similar to other thoughts that emerge from the film’s usual centre presentation.
