Along for the Ride Updates: Along for the Ride will be another addition to Netflix’s adolescent rom-com genre. Hopefully, there isn’t a scarcity of this category on Netflix. So it’ll be intriguing to see what distinguishes “Along for the Ride” from the other teen romance films.
Along for the Ride is a live-action version of Sarah Dessen’s novel of the same name, which is also available on Netflix. Along for the Ride was picked as the live adaptation among the four options from Dessen’s writings.
Along for the Ride on Netflix is written by Sofia Alvarez, who is best known for her work on “Netflix’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” and its two sequels.
Auden West, an adolescent who suffers from sleeplessness during the summer between high school and college, is the protagonist of the narrative.
Auden meets Eli, a fellow insomniac, during the summer before college. According to the film’s log line on Netflix. “While Colby sleeps, the two begin on a nightly journey to let Auden enjoy the happy, carefree life she never realised she craved.”
