Suicide Squad 3 Updates : We recently saw James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad 2021, which was previously referred to as a sequel to David Aiyer’s Suicide Squad, but director James Gunn confirmed to us before the film’s release that it isn’t a sequel or prequel, but rather a soft reboot with a lot more characters and a different villain that will take the storey in a different direction.

“Don’t Get Too Attached,” the poster cautioned us. And the brutality with which those individuals killed at the outset of the film reminded us once again that Amanda Waller always has backup plans.

However, there is still some confusion among fans after learning that James Gunn will work with the DCEU on another major project. They are wondering whether the upcoming sequel to The Suicide Squad will be called Suicide Squad 2 or Suicide Squad 3 because the current film was only a soft reboot, not a sequel.

I believe it will have a twisting title, which might be a bizarre aspect of the film in and of itself. Because renowned filmmaker James Gunn is known for naming his films in unusual ways, I’m sure you’ll appreciate it.

Suicide Squad 3: Release Date And Cast

There isn’t any news or speculations regarding the film yet, but the DC Fandom may get a release date or cast update soon. We can see that James Gunn will be hosting this event, where he will promote his HBO Max series ‘PeaceMaker’ and unveil future DCEU projects with fans.

There’s no word on the cast yet, but Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn was a standout in both Suicide Squad films, so she might return for this one as well. Sylvester Stallone’s King Shark in The Suicide Squad 2021 was also well-received, so he may return.

And there are reports that Will Smith may reprise his role as BloodSport, so we may see his character take the lead once more because, as Amanda Waller says, “the world is full with threats, and we need a team that can put their lives on the line,” so there’s a possibility she’ll need that squad again.”

Director James Gunn is currently working on PeaceMaker, and after that, he has a Marvel project called ‘Guardian Of The Galaxy Volume 3’ and a spin-off series called ‘Guardian Of The Galaxy-Holiday Special.’ There are a lot of assumptions about the release date of the upcoming Suicide Squad, which may be released after 2024.
