Final Fantasy 7 Part 2: Remake Rumors and New Information

Final Fantasy 7 Part 2 remake has been released. The second section of Final Fantasy VII Remake will be bigger than the first, with an open-world approach that will include more of the world outside of Midgar’s borders. Fans got a taste of what’s to come with the FF7 INTERmisson DLC, which put players in the shoes of the brave-yet-quirky ninja Yuffie as she attempts to acquire Shin-“Ultimate Ra’s Materia.”

According to Final Fantasy 7 Remake co-director Naoki Hamaguchi, INTERmission will set up the storyline for the next major FF7 Remake episode, with Yuffie and fellow Wutai member Sonon’s team-up tactics being one of the components that may transfer over.

There were also a few fascinating hints to the larger Final Fantasy 7 extended universe, such as a guest appearance by Weiss and Nero from Dirge Of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, which Hamaguchi plans to explore more as the FF7 Remake series proceeds.

Meanwhile, the first episode of Final Fantasy 7 Remake kept Cloud and his pals primarily in Midgar, although Naoki Hamaguchi hinted in an interview with IGN that the next part would branch elsewhere. “Our next goal will be to build gameplay that takes use of the vastness of the world,” he added, adding that “the next edition will see Cloud and his companions departing from Midgar and exploring the realm.”

According to Hamaguchi, FF7 Remake Part 1 was purposefully constructed in contrast to the rest of the series, and FF7 Remake Part 2 may provide a more open setting for Cloud and his friends to explore.

Final Fantasy 7 Part 2 Rumors

After exiting Midgar early in the game, Hamaguchi’s words are similar with how the original Final Fantasy 7 plot proceeded, with the player’s group being presented by a wide overworld map – something that was explored and expanded upon in the first Final Fantasy 7 Remake chapter last April.

Tetsuya Nomura, the FF7 Remake’s creative director, has also revealed that the future game would have more diverse landscapes for Cloud and his companions to explore as they pursue the wicked Sephiroth, noting that they will stroll through “plenty of nature.”

According to Naoki Hamaguchi’s comments, the second portion of Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be a far bigger game than fans expected, considering the original game’s Midgar-centric focus.

Given how heavily the previous Final Fantasy VII Remake title drew from the original Final Fantasy 7’s opening hours, it’s easy to picture how vast the world outside of Midgar’s borders will be when Part Two of Final Fantasy VII Remake arrives.
