Final Fantasy 7: Why Mightn’t the Remake Include All Genesis?

Final Fantasy 7: Why Mightn’t the Remake Include All Genesis?

Final Fantasy 7 Updates: Due to Gackt’s movie star likeness rights, it’s unclear if Genesis from Crisis Core will appear in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake series.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is taking the story of the original game on a new path, although it’s possible that characters from the FF7 spin-offs will appear in subsequent installments.

However, due to design issues, there is one character who will not be able to be safeguarded in the FF7 Remake.

Genesis Rhapsodos was a major character in Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 and was involved in the mysterious ending of Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy 7.

He becomes a member of SOLDIER and is subjected to the Jenova Project’s experiments.

Genesis becomes one of the SOLDIER’s most important contributions, but his health begins to deteriorate. He left the Shinra Corporation and began kidnapped scientists in order for them to save his frail physique.

Genesis’ body is cured by means of the goddess Minerva in the games, and he is captured by means of Deepground contributors. He appears in the mystery ending of Dirge of Cerberus, when he assumes the persona of Weiss the Immaculate.

Genesis must be alive throughout the events of the FF7 Remake, and he may have been a strong contender for a cameo or a role inside the tale, but celebrity likeness rights should be a factor in his participation.

Deepground and Weiss will appear in the FF7 Remake Intergrade, but it’s unclear if Genesis will be permitted to join them.

Genesis’ appearance is based entirely on Japanese musician Gackt, who also provided Genesis’ voice in each of his games. Gackt turned on the board for Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core, but Square Enix may request his permission to repurpose the layout for the Final Fantasy Remake series.

Over the years, Genesis has appeared in Final Fantasy cellular games, although they were chibi/cartoonish variants of the layout that did not closely resemble Gackt’s look.

Because the converging timelines at the end of the FF7 Remake may be utilized to explain the difference, the very structure of the FF7 Remake collection allows builders to modify Genesis’ layout such that he no longer resembles Gackt. In the FF7 Remake, the characters also have new voice actors, which is even another reason to dislike Gackt.
