As a rapper from the United States, Lil Durk reportedly has a fortune of $8 million. Having started his own record company, he named it Only The Family (or OTF for short). Def Jam Records signed Durk to their roster in 2013 after the release of his “Signed to the Streets” mixtape series.

Lil Durk (born Durk Derrick Banks on October 19, 1992) is a Chicago, Illinois-based rapper and vocalist who goes by the stage name Durk Derrick Banks. He is the founder and key member of the Only the Family collective and record label, as well as one of its most prominent members (OTF).

A year later, Lil’ Durk released his first mixtape. A handgun arrest happened at the same time as his, which was unfortunate. He resumed his rap career a few months after his release from prison. In 2012, he released “I’m Still a Hitta,” his second mixtape.

His tune “Sneak Dissin'” became a hit, and he began performing as a guest artist on other artists’ records, such as Lil Reese, Fredo Santana, and King Louie. For his second album in 2012, he worked with a different producer.

“My Beyonce,” which he co-wrote with Dej Loaf, peaked at #21 on the US Rap chart during his career’s peak.

Assassination of Lil Durk’s close friend King Von took place in Atlanta, Georgia, on November 6, 2020. On June 6, 2021, Durk’s brother Dontay “DThang” Banks Jr. was slain in a nightclub while celebrating his birthday.

In July 2021, Durk was the victim of a home invasion in his area. The suspects left the scene after he and his fiancée fired their weapons. It was a gift in disguise that no one was hurt.

Dramatic Legal Mystery

After he was charged with having a firearm in 2011, Lil Durk continued to face the authorities. For an additional 87 days, he was freed on bail and re-arrested before being taken into custody once more.

When confronted by police on June 5, 2013, Banks allegedly threw a loaded firearm into his car, this time on Chicago’s South Green Street. At the time of this writing, Lil Durk was being jailed on a $100,000 bail.

Durk’s lawyer provided the court with witness affidavits proving his innocence, including one witness who admitted to owning the weapon. Durk first appeared on the scene in July of that year.

When a shootout broke out only hours before Lil Durk was scheduled to play at the Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, one person was murdered and the singer’s tour bus was destroyed.

In reports, Durk was not involved in the event and was neither detained or questioned by officials. Following his arrest on suspicion of illicit firearms possession in August 2016, Dirk was freed without prosecution.

Durk and King Von were arrested in June of this year on accusations of attempted murder. In the aftermath of the robbery and shooting outside an overflowing Atlanta drive-in movie theatre, the two guys fled, according to prosecutors.

They allegedly stole the man’s Jeep Cherokee and $30,000 in cash as well. Durk and Von were freed from jail after only a few weeks in return for $250,000 and $300,000 bail.
