The couple gave birth to their first child, a girl named Pfeiffer Lucia. The ecstatic parents shared the good news on social media on Thursday. The actor posted a photo of himself with his new baby daughter on Instagram, announcing her birth on October 26.

Hofmann also posted photos of herself and her child, as well as information on her home delivery.
“Our lovely daughter, Pfeiffer Lucia Speedman, was delivered at home on October 26th at 8:33 a.m., weighing 6.6 pounds,” she wrote. “Lucia, for always being our little ‘light,’ and Pfeiffer, for always feeling linked to nature and the sea in her heart.” @scottspeedman, we adore you, little Pfeiff.”

The Grey’s Anatomy actress and Hoffman were first linked in July 2017. Hofmann flaunted her baby bump when she revealed her pregnancy on Mother’s Day.
Last month, Speedman spoke with ET on being a parent and a girl dad.
“In my life, something strange is going to happen. Everyone appears to be talking about it, but I have no idea what it is. Nonetheless, I am excited about it.” He told ET’s Nischelle Turner about it. “I’m ready to go.” I’ve been alone for 46 years.”
Being a father is what he is most looking forward to. “To put it plainly, I’m going to do it.” “I’m a bit over my prime when it comes to having my first child,” he added, “but it’s this thing that I don’t know about that I’m looking forward to beginning this new chapter with.”
In our industry, and in what we do, it’s all about you. So I’m looking forward to getting out of it and stepping into someone else’s shoes.”
