Narcos: Mexico Season 3 – Characters and Up-to-Date Information

Narcos: Mexico Season 3 Updated: Narcos fans are about to be orphaned once more: Netflix has released the last season of the 2015 crime drama’s spin-off, Narcos: Mexico, heralding the end of the Mexican cartels’ rule. That is, at least, the case in the realm of fiction. Chris Brancato, Carlos Bernard, and Doug Miro produced Narcos: Mexico, which premiered in 2018.

The spin-off followed real-life individuals including Miguel Angel Félix Gallardo, “El Chapo” Guzmán, and Kiki Camarena as they rose and fell with the Guadalajara cartel in Mexico during the 1980s. The spin-off focused on the emergence and collapse of the Guadalajara cartel in Mexico during the 1980s, while the parent program concentrated on the Colombian drug trade in the 1990s.

Of course, not everything depicted in the show is accurate. Some of Scoot McNairy’s Walt Breslin, for example, never existed, but a lot of it did. As the final episodes of Narcos: Mexico Season 3 stream on televisions, cellphones, and laptops, here’s a summary of the show’s main characters and their real-life counterparts.

All About Narcos: Mexico Season 3

Félix Gallardo, commonly known as “El Padrino” (The Godfather), was responsible for uniting the multiple smuggling zones known as “plazas,” serving as the de facto originator of the modern-day Mexican drug trade and eventually becoming the leader of the Guadalajara cartel.

In 1989, he was arrested for the assassination of Kiki Camarena, as well as drug trafficking and other crimes. His arrest led to the fall of the cartel and the start of the current Mexican drug war. At the end of Season 2, Félix is jailed, putting his story to a finish. Luna did not return for the show’s final season.

Today, the genuine “El Padrino” is still imprisoned. However, because to his deteriorating health, he was transferred to a medium-security facility in 2014. He gave his first interview after his arrest in 2021, in which he denied ever knowing Camarena.
