The final choice returns in November 2021 for its highly anticipated third season, continuing the tale after Felix Gallardo’s capture in season 2. However, viewers have begun to wonder what will happen after Narcos: Mexico’s third season and whether the show would be renewed for a fourth season.

Narcos Mexico Season 4 renewal or cancellation??

Season 3 of Narcos and Mexico did not receive a renewal because it was revealed that it would be the final season of the series. The announcement that Narcos: Mexico would conclude with season 3 in September 2021 should come as no surprise to fans of the franchise, given the first Narcos series also ended after three seasons.

While Narcos focused on the notorious Pablo Escobar and his Colombian drug cartel, the Mexico buddy series told the storey of Felix Gallardo’s Guadalajara gang and its fallout, which helped to spark the Mexican drug war that is still raging today.

WHAT’S up for NARCOS now??

While season 3 of Narcos Mexico is coming to a close, the show’s creator and previous showrunner, Eric Newman, is still hopeful that the franchise will continue, but nothing has been confirmed at the time of writing.

“We’ll happen as long as they allow us and as long as the medicine war seeths — which, as you most certainly know, has no end,” Newman stated in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter following the debut of season 2. But I’d be lying if I claimed I hadn’t given it a lot of consideration as to where we should go.”

Narcos and its Mexican spin-off are set in the 1980s and mid-1990s, meaning that there is only roughly 30 years to investigate if the establishment were to move to Southern or Central America.
Obviously, Narcos might broaden its perspectives by looking at drug wars in other parts of the world; all we have to do now is wait to see whether Netflix approves further episodes.
