Mario Herrera, better known as Peso, was born in Galveston, Texas, on June 28th, 1995. Star Baby was the first stage name Peso Peso used when he started selling drugs and performing songs in the ninth grade when his parents divorced, but he dropped out of high school.
At the age of 14, he changed his stage name to King Pe$o and released the song Gotta have It on the Dope House records label. In 2019, he launched his album, named Hardest Ese Eva, via the TSF record company after he continued to post songs on YouTube.

His father, Mario Herrera Sr., is the only known relative of Peso Peso’s parents, who raised him after his parents divorced and left him in the care of his grandparents. There are three people named Peso Peso in his family: a father and a mother whose identity remains a mystery. He has two brothers and a sister.
