Riverdale Season 6 Episode 2 Sneak Peek

Riverdale Season 6 Episode 2

When we last saw the crazy kids of “Riverdale,” Veronica (Camila Mendes) had broken up with Archie and decided to return to New York City; Betty (Lili Reinhart) had graduated from the FBI academy and decided to re-open Riverdale’s FBI field office; and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) was getting cosy with Tabitha (Erinn Westbrook).

Betty and Archie then decided to continue their romance, while Veronica chose to stay in Riverdale and open a casino. In the last minutes of the season, Betty and Archie were allegedly blown up by a bomb.

“Riverdale” will return for its sixth season in November and December 2021, with a five-episode event before returning for the remainder of the season in March 2022.

“Following the explosion that ended Season Five, a new day dawns in the town of Rivervale, where everything is as it should be,” says the description of “Chapter Ninety-Six: Welcome to Rivervale,” the first episode of the five-part event. Veronica and Reggie are now the town’s power couple, while Jughead and Tabitha move in together. This tranquillity will likely be short-lived, as Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) insists on a return to the ‘old ways.’ “How did Archie and Betty manage to stay alive?” you might wonder.

“Chapter Ninety-Seven: Ghost Stories,” the second episode, will premiere on November 23, followed by “Chapter Ninety-Eight: Mr. Cypher,” on November 30.

The adolescent witch Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) from “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” makes her Riverdale debut in season six. In the teaser, Sabrina and Cheryl look to be old friends (enemies?). Cheryl is transforming Thornhill to a girls’ school, and it looks that the spirit of Abigail Blossom will terrorise everyone.

“The maturity in the characters is a nice thing to come back to, but that didn’t necessarily alter a lot,” Apa said in an interview with Nerds of Color about the seven-year time jump. While a lot of the wild things from the plot is still going on, which is amazing, it was nice to come back and be a little more grounded.”

“Riverdale” airs on The CW on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. Eastern and Pacific.
