Riverdale Season 6 Updates: Season 5 of Riverdale only ended a few minutes ago, but season 6 is already in the works. The Archie comics adaptation has surpassed all expectations, and a fresh set of episodes will be available soon.
Season 6 is noteworthy in a lot of ways for Riverdale. To begin, the show will attain the milestone of 100 episodes. Is it true that we’ve been keeping an eye on it for such a long time? Wild!
The much-anticipated Riverdale x Chilling Adventures of Sabrina crossover will also be included.
Everything you need to know about Riverdale season 6 is right here, including how to watch it in Australia.
What occurred in Riverdale Season 5?
Season 5 of Riverdale introduced a lot of changes to the show, starting with the massive 7-year time leap.
The trio went on to have less-than-successful lives before returning to Riverdale to wreak havoc once more.
I’ll try my hardest to condense all of Riverdale’s madness, but it’ll be difficult. (Warning: there will be spoilers!)
Betty, an FBI trainee, has been on the hunt for a serial murderer who kidnapped her sister Polly for the whole season. Betty discovers that her sister has been murdered in a terrible turn of circumstances and must come to grips with her grief. Riverdale is now dealing with some difficult challenges.
Veronica and Archie decide to call it quits after yet another season of Varchie and return to their old/new lovers, Betty and Reggie.
By waving numerous pistols at conspiring criminal genius Hiram Lodge and forcing him to take a humiliating stroll through the woods, the town evicts him. The town then decides to re-establish itself.
We saw the Trash Bag Killer (I’m not making this up) phone. Because there aren’t enough serial murderers in her life, Betty reminds her and everyone else that he still lives.
This season has seen Jughead get into a lot of mischief, but the most essential thing to know is that he’s now engaged to Tabitha Tate.
Toni has also given birth to a child (yay!) and has opted to hand over her Serpent leadership to Fangs. Oh, and she adores him as well.
Then there’s Cheryl, who has the strangest storey of all. After uncovering a mound of corpses in her family’s mines, Cheryl discovers that one of her ancestors was burnt at the stake for being a witch, and she demands an apology from their descendants (who are, of course, Betty, Archie, and Jughead). When she doesn’t receive it, she resolves to use her new witchy spiritual skills to curse the town. It’s all Riverdale-related.
Hiram also set a bomb under Archie’s bed, which went off just as he kissed Betty (talk about a cockblock). Will they be able to make it? We’ll have to wait until the sixth season to find out what occurs.
What is going on in Riverdale Season 6?
Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the showrunner, is the first to offer some intriguing hints.
Riverdale season 6 looks to pick off just where season 5 left off, putting an end to our collective agony over the bomb plot point.
The first synopsis reads as follows:
Following the explosion that ended Season Five, a new day dawns in River VALE, where everything is as it should be. Veronica and Reggie are now the town’s power couple, while Jughead and Tabitha move in together. This tranquillity, however, will likely be short-lived due to Cheryl’s desire to return to the “old ways.” And how did Archie and Betty manage to keep their lives together?
We also have a trailer that shows some of the season’s unusual incidents.
What about a Sabrina vs. Riverdale mashup?
In the trailer above, you may have noticed Kiernan Shipka reprise his role as Sabrina Spellman, and yes, Sabrina is back to Riverdale.
While we don’t know why or how Sabrina is returning to Riverdale after CAOS, she looks to have arrived just in time.
In season 6, episode 4, titled ‘The Witching Hour,’ Sabrina will make her debut.
In Australia, when and where can you watch Riverdale season 6?
Riverdale season 6 will launch soon after the season 5 finale, so be ready to get down to business.
The first episode was broadcast on Netflix in Australia on November 17th. Riverdale episodes are often accessible about 6 p.m. AEDT.
