Snowpiercer Season 2 Episode 9 Updates: As previously stated, Mr. Wilford declared a triumph by reclaiming Snowpiercer, which might be a hint of him ensuring that Andre Layton suffers the same fate as his last enemy, Melanie Cavill.
Melanie was supposed to call Snowpiercer at the end of episode 6, “Many Miles From Snowpiercer,” but the tracks imprisoned her in the brutal cold. Layton is also likely to be fired off the train and die in the Freeze.
Melanie had abandoned the train to Andre Layton the moment Joseph Wilford’s train of 40 cars, especially Big Alice, was permanently moored by Snowpiercer, which surprised the affluent Messiah.
The Messiah was mostly taken aback by the fact that Wilford had no idea who Layton was and had no idea what a “Tailie” was.
Wilford, on the other hand, was quick to see the threat Melanie and Layton constituted to his plans to retake control of Snowpiercer Season 2 Episode 9.
Snowpiercer Season 2 Episode 9: Melanie’s Fate
When Melanie stated that the world may be spontaneously warming and “the future is outdoors!” Wilford used the opportunity to push Melanie into a risky (and suicidal) solo trip to get the Breslauer Research Station online in order to prove her idea.
Thanks to this smart divide and conquer approach, Melanie, Wilford’s enemy who also knew him and the train, was no longer a threat. Wilford only had to deal with “King Layton,” as Wilford mockingly referred to him.
By the end of “The Eternal Engineer,” Layton was struck by how expertly Wilford had used his hand to gain control of the train from behind him.
The fact that they didn’t have Melanie as an advisor or to counter Wilford’s plots, and that people like Miss Audrey (Lena Hall) sided with Wilford, as well as the discontent in Snowpiercer Season 2 Episode 9, where Wilford was simply present, sparked flames that were the result of weeks of events beyond Layton’s control.
Snowpiercer’s brief lecture from Andre Layton exemplifies the ancient adage that “things usually become worse before they can get better.” The question now is whether Layton will be able to survive what Wilford has planned for him now that Andre has been captured and transported to Big Alice.
