“In my mind, explosive things is going to happen, which will be fantastic,” she says, adding, “There’s a fantastic destination for it, but I’m not sure whether we’re in a position to discuss the specifics.”

When questioned about the narrative for season two, Steven Knight, the BBC’s head of drama, said. “Daring and distinct” is the promise of the Taboo Season 2. “I can sense the three acts,” he added.

‘The escape’ was the first. The third will be ‘the arrival,’ and the second will be ‘the voyage,’ and that will be it. I don’t think the plot will live up to expectations, but I hope people will like it.”
