Reality television stars Jonathan and Drew Scott have a combined net worth of $200 million. To date, they are most recognised for launching the Property Brothers television and home improvement series.
Early Life:
Jonathon Ian Scott and Andrew (Drew) Alfred Scott were born on April 28, 1979, in Vancouver, British Columbia. They are the older of the identical twin brothers. When Drew Scott’s parents, Jim and Joanne Scott, found out they were expecting just one child, they were shocked. John Scott was born four minutes before Drew Scott. As a youngster, their father immigrated from Scotland to the United States with the goal of becoming an American cowboy like the ones he had seen on television while growing up in Scotland.
The film business was his primary source of income until the late 1970s, when he decided to devote more time to raising his family. Maple Ridge, Canada, is home to a horse farm owned by Jim and Joanne and their three young children. JAM, which makes nylon-covered hangers, was the brothers’ first company, which they founded at the age of seven. In the end, a woman ordered thousands. Early Career: Drew Scott
During their teens, Drew and Jonathan began buying and re-doing properties. It was never their intention to be “starving artists,” even if they always wanted to be performers. Investment in real estate would serve as an insurance policy for what they actually intended to do, they reasoned. They bought their first home at the age of eighteen, during their very first semester in college, and they’ve been homeowners ever since.
For their $250 down payment on a seven-bedroom house across the street from their university, they took out a vendor take-back mortgage. The brothers rented it out and earned $800 a month in rent after the improvements. After a year, they sold it for a $50,000 profit while still in school. Throughout their late teens, they continued to acquire and flip houses.
The brothers experimented with acting and magic before settling on real estate as a career path. The purpose of John’s large-sale illusions was to construct a travelling theatre play when he dropped out of college at the age of 19. In response to a request from a fellow magician claiming to be a friend of friends, John consented to let him rent out a number of his illusions. In the end, the man took the entire exhibit, causing the concert to be ruined and leaving Jonathan $80,000 in the red.
He was unable to pay back the money he owed, and he was humiliated and upset about it, so he didn’t inform his parents. At the age of 20, John was forced to file for bankruptcy. When Drew Scott had finished school, she was working as a flight attendant for WestJet. Construction and design are John’s new focus at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SATI). Here, he obtained his contractor licence. During this time, Drew obtained his real estate licence in 2004.

In 2004, the Scott brothers founded Scott Real Estate, Inc. Commercial and residential building and development are the focus of the business. By 2008, they have opened a third location. Formed Scott Brothers Entertainment, an independent production business in 2010. Their concentration switched from cinema to original programming for television and digital platforms by 2013.

Scott Living, Drew Scott and John’s first outdoor furniture collection, debuted on QVC later that year. In 2017, Scott Brothers Global, the twins’ holding company, acquired all of the siblings’ businesses. Docuseries centred on current societal issues, like solar power, were written by Drew. 2018 saw the launching of this product.
Jonathan Scott is now a well-known illusionist in Las Vegas, and his brother, Drew Scott, is a director and producer in his own right. In 2019, the 14th season of The Property Brothers aired on television.
Jonathan Scott Personal Life:
An airline crew scheduler by profession and married in the summer of 2007, Kelsy Ully is John Scott’s wife. Her modelling and waitressing jobs created a series of problems for the couple once they moved to Las Vegas, as he details in his book. They split in 2010 after being together for seven years, two of whom were married at the time. He was in a relationship with Jacinta Kuznetsov for three years before they called it quits in April of last year.
Jonathan and Zooey Deschanel began dating in August of 2019 and confirmed their relationship one week after Zooey announced their divorce. They met on the set of a Carpool Karaoke episode that they were recording and became friends.
Drew Scott Personal Life:
When Linda Phan proposed to Drew Scott in 2016, the pair set a date for their wedding in Italy in May of this year. Tony Robbins, a personal idol of Drew’s, is a life coach who has backed Hilary Clinton. In addition to karate, Drew Scott is a big fan of exercise and a good diet.
Both of my brothers are big basketball fans, and both of them grew up playing the sport as well. They have participated in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on two occasions. ‘ They’re both generous givers who’ve made significant contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and Habitat for Humanity. In addition, they fund a number of additional paediatric cancer programmes and organisations. Among Habitat for Humanity’s greatest honours, Habitat Humanitarians, was awarded to the brothers in November 2016. Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” initiative was also a big part of the twins’ work.
