He was an American comedian and actor, Jerry Van Dyke. He appeared in Coach, Accidental Family, My Mother the Car, and The Dick Van Dyke Show. It was on My Mother’s Car that he played “Dave Crabtree,” and on Accidental Family, he portrayed “Jerry Webster” (1967-68). In Angel in My Pocket, he co-starred with Andy Griffith and Lee Meriwether (1969). On ABC’s Coach, Van Dyke played Luther Van Dam, an assistant football coach (1989-97).
